Memberships: automatically save IBAN during subscription
registration
When managing your member database, you want data to be stored consistently and in the right place. For donations made through a donation form, your relation's IBAN was already saved on both the direct debit agreement and the relation card. For subscriptions via a registration form, this was not yet the case. The IBAN was only stored on the direct debit agreement, not on the relation card itself.
From now on, the IBAN can also be saved on the relation card when someone signs up for a subscription through a registration form and chooses to pay by direct debit. Set this up once via 'Finance' > 'Settings' > 'General direct debit settings' under 'Default IBAN'. There
you choose which CRM field is used as the default IBAN field. This keeps all information in one place, so you no longer need to search through direct debit agreements when you need a relation's bank account number.
As an added benefit: if a logged-in relation fills out a form that includes an IBAN field, and their IBAN is already on file on their relation card, the field is automatically pre-filled. This saves a step and reduces the chance of errors.
